The Top 5 Myths of a Healing Journey (That Keep You Procrastinating On Your Self-Development)
After being quiet for 2 months, I am back AGAIN this week with another podcast interview 🥰
This time, I won't be sharing my personal healing journey. Instead, I'm talking all about self-development, and the key things I've observed whilst supporting others on their self-development journey over the last 9 years…
I discussed the topic in great detail with my amazing host: Dr. Kimberlyann.
Dr. Kimberlyann has spent over 25 years studying and practicing psychology and holistic healing, including; energy medicine, healing arts, Reiki, meditation, and astrology. (Dr. Kimberlyann is currently a licensed psychologist in Florida.)
We've shared an abundance of actionable tips, exercises and books in this episode which I'm sure you'll be able to resonate with (and make good use of within your own healing journey) ❤️
Here's a sneak peak at what we discussed...
The TOP 5 MYTHS that keep people procrastinating on their self-development and put a hold their healing journey.
01: It's not a one-time 'quick fix'
There is no finish line. Healing journeys are endless. We are limitless. And this is a positive thing — we have the capacity to change and transform every day.
02: Only you can walk your path
Sure, there are teachers, guides, coaches that can help you…But “the person who'll fix you” doesn't exist. I have searched for this for a long time, and my life changed when I understood one simple fact: only you can be “the healer” of yourself…
03: You need to digest the healing
Sometimes we need time to digest the healing. Some blocks are deeper than others. But we believe that when we finally reach them, we are ready to transform. This is not always the case...
After releasing the blocks, you still need to process what you've learned, and bring it in to your daily life, move forward and transform.
04: Manifestation comes with faith and effort (not only faith)
Some things can be manifested quickly and easily (when you are in alignment). Others take a long time often because they are tangled with your fears.
By doing the inner work on the layers of fear, internal shifts occur which then lead to external shifts.
05: Fear can always be there (it will come and go), don’t wait until it's gone in order to move
Fear helps you learn and grow. We need to understand what the fear is about. Fear can be a great teacher but remember LOVE is the biggest transformer.

P.S. There is no right or wrong way to heal. There is no 'one, perfect method'. You just need to start from wherever you are so you can live a more fulfilled, aligned purposeful life.
I hope this podcast helps you to open your heart and don’t be scared of the fears, darkness or anything that comes your way.
Always remember, Healing is in simplicity.
With Love,
Gül
