How one person’s story can inspire others

_DSC6301.JPG

This week my inspiration for this blog has come from one of my previous clients. Hearing her story touched me so deeply and moved me to tears and this made me realise that almost all my clients have the same effect on me. I call it the butterfly effect, where their stories and results have touched my heart so deep that it helps to deepen my belief and strength to continue the work that I do.

However, I realised that I don’t often share my client’s stories except on my website and this weekend I was reminded how powerful sharing our stories and results can be.

At the weekend I shared a client’s story with my friend on Saturday and the very next day he sent me an image on WhatsApp showing how he’d signed up for a salsa class. He told me that hearing my client’s story and the effort that she had made to better align her life had motivated him to also  put in effort into his life and sign up for the class that he’d been thinking about taking for the last year.

This week I want to devote some of this blog to client stories with the intention that they spark hope and motivation to anyone reading.I want to make a disclaimer here that when I say share their story, I will not be explaining personal details of their case or issues here but simply sharing the parts of their story that inspired me. 😀

Muriel’s Story: Life is surprising, eventful and exciting!

Self-development or healing is a big word. These days especially society can put a lot of pressure around our healing or transformational journey. We see a lot of marketing around becoming enlightened and changing our lives drastically. I wish there was a way to full enlightenment, where you have all the answers and you live happily ever after 😀 So far I have not found it, and actually I do not believe in it.

For me healing is a journey where you find an inner alignment, a weird feeling of trust that you are on the right path and protected, this feeling gives you;

  1. Power to stand up when things are chaotic around you

  2. Motivation to move forward when you are scared

  3. A desire to challenge yourself, leave your comfort zone and go for more in life

  4. And a deep sense of trust that everything happens for a reason and all you need to do is SURRENDER

And this was exactly how I felt after reading an email from Muriel, a previous client of mine. She had sent me an email talking about her exploring her desires and her commitment to take one single step (not a final step or all the steps) towards discovering those desires more deeply and without attachment. At the end of her email she wrote, “Now the thing is not to procrastinate and do it!!”

Sometimes transformation is simple (not easy but simple). Often, we can put a heavy burden on ourselves to achieve, just to show others. Muriel reminded me it is all about perception, how are you going to handle life, as simple and exciting it is.

Here is her gorgeous smile and kind words

Before I met you Gul, I was struggling with very low self-esteem, and a strong feeling of stress and anguish concerning the future. Guilt was also imprinted in me and was ruling my everyday life and actions. After t.png

I learn so much from my clients! From day 1, they were the ones that made me believe in my dreams and journey along with me as they became reality. Going forward I really want to be able to share more of my learnings with you.

Thank you to all of you for being an amazing light and inspiration to my path (you know who you are😀)

Have you seen my latest Instagram stories? I’ve recently started to share more about myself, and what purposeful vibes is all about. I’d love to connect with you on there.

With Love,
Gül
