From cancellations to BIG celebrations

“May love find you when you least expect, where you least expect it.”

Last weekend, we had a little late wedding celebration in beautiful Alba, Italy…

Covid changed our wedding plans 3 times…

When I look back, I have to say, it was the most aligned way for us...Maybe it is true that "Third Time's the Charm"

We married during a lockdown 1 and a half years ago in Luxembourg. Due to unexpected restrictions, only 8 people were allowed to enter the ceremony room. My parents were not allowed to travel, most of our loved ones attended via Zoom

Then, Covid changed our plans one more time last summer. We were going to have one big wedding celebration in Italy. But the pace of vaccines was slow, and the travel restrictions and visa bans made us cancel the plans. Instead, we gathered together with family and my best friends in my hometown.

And here we are, covid changed one more time. My husband, who was not into any celebration, wanted to celebrate our vows this time in Italy with his friends…This one was also a surprise for me. First I resisted, even a bit ashamed In the end, it has been more than a year and we are celebrating again!

And I understood what Covid changed this time. Covid taught us the importance of loved ones, friendships, family. It reminded us how much we missed traveling, dancing, meeting new people…

Therefore, in this blog, I wanted to re-share the book that I love the most on the topic of LOVE!

You might notice I share a lot from Rumi, he is poet and spiritual teacher that can help you to open your heart to love. This book is a masterpiece in my own healing journey…It is a novel about love, it has multi layers, takes you into modern search for love with a deep spiritual love.

When you read the book, some sentences will hit your heart. I remember that I paused reading after this part and journaled on it. It made me realize how much pressure I put on myself and the relationship…It made me realize Acceptance…

“It’s easy to love a perfect God, unblemished and infallible that He is. What is far more difficult is to love fellow human beings with all their imperfections and defects.

Remember, one can only know what one is capable of loving. There is no wisdom without love. Unless we learn to love God’s creation, we can neither truly love nor truly know God” — Elif Shafak

I hope you find all the forms of LOVE that you need the most, when you least expect!
