Closing Out The Year With Gratitude - Steps Toward Your Own Self-Care :)

Greetings from Istanbul this morning! 

This week we celebrate a New Year, it is the end of a decade and the start of new beginnings…So today is a perfect day to attract more to our lives in 2020 with a simple exercise.

All you need to do give yourself some quality time of 10-20 minutes in last days of 2019! 

Take a pen and notepad (or your laptop) and write about your accomplishments, success, realizations in 2019with honoring the 4 rules below;

Rule #1

Do not apply any kind of size limit to achievements or accomplishments, anything that comes to your mind should take its place in the list! It could be “I started walking this year, I read one of the books that was mentioned in Gul’s newsletters 😉, I reduced the amount of chocolate I eat, I finished this project….” Write as much as you can, remember every little step is better than no steps at all! 

rule #2

Time to be grateful for everything in your list. When you finish, read your list and say “Thank You” to each of them! You can close your eyes and send gratitude to the universe. Gratitude is a warm feeling, that will warm up your heart and soul and it will help you attract more with ease!

rule #3

You may have experienced a major life crisis in 2019… I feel you, I’ve been there. I remember that in one new year, where I had a major life-changing trauma, I just hid at my sister’s place and sat in  tears… I was lucky to have a sister who gives me unconditional love (I love you sister!) If you are in that phase in your life, just remember this Sufi quote from Rumi, sometimes the biggest struggles in our life make us who we are and helps us to walk in our purpose…

rule #4

Find some quality time where you can enjoy nice music, a warm cup of tea or coffee or a nice glass of wine. This activity is to bring you joy, and a warm feeling of gratitude. Even if it takes less than an hour, you can still manifest celebratory vibes through this small act of self-care. We have seen another 1 full year with many life experiences on planet earth. It deserves celebration 🎉 Here is the music that I will use when I journal today, feel free to use it yourself to raise your vibrations 🤗
