When art brings you JOY!
We are officially entering Spring, yay!
The weekend was all about spring vibes here in Luxembourg; beautiful colors of flowers, the smells of the nature, the warmth of sun…
It all inspired the motivation and creativity for this week’s blog post.
I want to honor 3 creative artists from 3 different countries…They are all connected through their purpose in my home...‘giving the positive vibes on my kitchen wall ’
Here is a picture of my kitchen wall of my tiny apartment, those 3 artists gifted us their creativity as wedding gift last year, somehow they all go well with each other…The more I see them, the more I realize how small and affordable art pieces can give you JOY!
SHAMAN POWER ANIMAL – BUTTERFLY
On the left side, you'll see a beautiful butterfly. Created by artist: Paul Bryant.
Paul is my ex-client, we worked together when he was feeling stuck in his corporate career and his passion - ART. In one of our sessions, Paul met with his Shaman power animal, Koi Fish…After the session, I told him that mine was the Butterfly…
For those who are not aware of this concept, in the shamanic belief, everything is alive and carries with it power and wisdom. Power animals are an essential component of shamanic practice. Shamans believe that everyone has power animals – animal spirits which reside with each individual adding to their power and guiding them for inner knowing.
Shamanic practice honors and acknowledges the life and wisdom that exists in all things. Everything is believed to have something to teach you and animals are thought to have a wealth of wisdom and protection to offer you. For example, my butterfly always reminds me the power of transformation. It helped me to pass through the difficult times with hope…
And Paul accepted his divine calling of owning the fact that he is an artist without leaving his corporate job!
Now, he is teaching others how to draw and he is also sharing his magical paintings through his website, check here for his unique creativity.
"I felt blocked and disconnected. I was struggling with self-worth issues and direction, definitely depressed and at a very low and lost point. After speaking with Gul, I immediately felt a change internally. Across our sessions I have removed numerous self-imposed obstacles and feel like I am flowing with life, flowing with purpose . I am much more confident and am very positive because Gul helped me overcome obstacles I have faced for decades. It was really a very powerful experience.
Don’t question the methods or be concerned about the outcome. Surrender to the process and go bravely into this. Your question should not be will it work. The question is in how many ways will this change me, my situation and my life for the better. Trust me. It may seem like magic, but the results a very real.
Gul did not assume I knew or understood what was going on. She gave me reading and tasks to do along the way to help me understand, make the work stick and get me involved in the process. This was a dialog, a collaboration. She both cared for me along the way and challenged me to push myself. This was truly life changing."

THE TREE OF LIFE
In the middle, you'll see a wooden clock with a tree of life inside from Italy. It is made by an Italian wood artist, Marco Franconeri. He creates handmade wood pieces as unique gifts.
He is a high school friend of my husband Giovanni and he was inspired by one of my tattoos (tree of life) and surprised us with this priceless wedding gift
You can check his Instagram for more inspiring options. Wood has a calming energy, he uses the left overs and gives them a new life.
COFFEE: A LOVE STORY
And the last one is coming from my homeland, Turkey. Emrah Tunaboylu is an artist who creates through the energies of the land. He uses the power of the land and coverts what he sees there in his art.
His master pieces are about Istanbul. After meeting my Italian husband, he mentioned that he also worked in Florence and observed Italian culture, he listened our love to this specific coffee machine. He surprised us with a reminder of our Love.
You might think why coffee is a love story… In Turkish we say “one single cup of coffee is remembered for 40 years”…Coffee represent friendship, conversations. When I met Giovanni, I realized coffee also represents love. For him, sharing his mocha machine coffee was a sign of caring.
With the pandemic, we started to work from home. Instead of having our morning coffee at the office, we started to spend our mornings with the smell of coffee. For me it turned to a ritual of welcoming the day together. You can see more of his art here.
I would like to say one more time THANK YOU to these amazing artists for sharing their gifts and bringing more JOY to our homes!
